The Office of Defects Investigation (ODI) has received 118 complaints alleging detachment of the upper grille deflector on 2022-2024 model year (MY) GMC Sierra vehicles. 21 of these 118 complaints allege that the upper grille deflector detached after Recall 25V-060 was performed. The complaints allege that the upper grille deflector detaches while driving. In some cases, leading to a cracked windshield or surrounding vehicles needing to conduct evasive maneuvers. On February 6, 2025, GM submitted Recall 25V-060 addressing upper grille deflector detachment for 2022MY GMC Sierra vehicles manufactured with a chrome grille deflector. 2022MY GMC Sierra vehicles which were not manufactured with a chrome grille deflector and 2023-2024MY GMC Sierra vehicles were not included in the recall. ODI is opening this Recall Query (RQ) to assess the adequacy of the scope and remedy for Recall 25V-060.
