Evaluate landing gear collapse on 2017 Great Dane refrigerated trailers with Jost landing gear.

The Office of Defects Investigation (ODI) received a petition on July 28, 2026, requesting a defect investigation to “determine if a structural failure of the landing gear support system is related to or within the scope of Recall 24V637, determine if the scope of 24V637 should be expanded, and to determine if Recall 18E059 presents a related weld-fatigue failure as the landing gear failure”. The petition itself can be reviewed at NHTSA.gov under ODI number 11741673. A defect petition has been opened to evaluate the issue and determine whether to grant or deny the petition.
